GUWAHATI: A voter in Bulandshahr constituency chopped off his finger using a sickle after he accidentally voted for BJP on the EVM instead of the BSP symbol at the polling station during the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on 18 April.
The man has been identified as Pawan Kumar, 25, a resident of Abdullapur Hulasan village in Shikarpur area. As per reports, Kumar had gone to vote in favour of the SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate Yogesh Verma but, he voted for BJP candidate and sitting MP Bhola Singh instead by mistake.

Frustrated over his mistake, he chopped off his finger.
