Baksa Prepares For Lok Sabha Polls In Two Phases

 

GUWAHATI: In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Baksa electoral district has made arrangements for polling in two phases. The elections in Baksa will be conducted in two parts, with specific constituencies allocated to each phase.

During the second phase of polling, elections will take place in No. 43 Tamulpur (Tribe) and No. 44 Goreshwar Assembly constituency under No. 4 Darrang-Udalguri Lok Sabha constituency. In the subsequent third phase, the polling will be held in No. 41 Manas and No. 42 Baksa (Tribe) Assembly constituency.

A crucial meeting was convened at the Baksa district commissioner's office on April 9, presided over by General Observer M.R. Ravi. Ravi emphasised the importance of conducting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with utmost transparency, fairness, and efficiency. He urged all officers and employees present to ensure that the electoral process proceeds smoothly and without any discrepancies.

Ravi also conducted an inspection of the facilities available at the venue. The discussions centred on ensuring adequate security measures, efficient expenditure monitoring, and seamless coordination among different administrative units to facilitate a successful electoral process.
