The accused, Akash Chaudhury and Saddam Ali, reportedly local residents of the Bonda area, had allegedly placed a tape over the number plate of their two-wheeler. When traffic police stopped them for the violation, they misbehaved with the officials on Tuesday, March 18. It was the second time they had been warned for a similar offence.

An eyewitness recounted the incident, stating, “The two men used abusive language towards the traffic officer on duty in Narangi when they were stopped for a traffic violation. They were aggressive and disrespectful.”

A police official from Noonmati police station confirmed the arrests speaking to GPlus, saying, “The two individuals not only misbehaved with the traffic officials but also issued threats. They told the officers they would have them removed from their jobs and even threatened to assault them off-duty. Both have been arrested and are now in jail.”
