Guwahati Police Arrest Key Members Of Maoist Separatist Outfit KCP (PWG)

 

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police conducted an operation on Thursday, March 20 successfully apprehending key members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group – KCP PWG), a Maoist separatist outfit involved in extortion and arms-related crimes in Manipur.

The operation was carried out at ISBT, and police arrested two individuals linked to the militant group. Among them was Meisnam Bungochouba Singh, a 42-year-old arms supplier from Bishnupur district, and Techsa Ibomcha Singh, also 42, a senior commander of KCP (PWG) wanted in multiple cases of extortion and arms-related offences.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from Gorchuk Police Station said, “Our team successfully apprehended two key members of KCP (PWG) during an operation on Thursday. Both individuals are involved in several cases of extortion and arms-related offences.

The operation was executed with precision based on intelligence inputs from Gajraj Military Intelligence.
