To facilitate the migration of GMC consumers to the Jal Board, the corporation had previously been covering connection charges up to ₹7,000 per applicant, particularly for ration card holders.

To ensure a smoother transition, GMC will now bear the entire connection cost of ₹9,500 for all its consumers and ration card holders who apply for Jal Board connections before June 30.

The notice has urged consumers to avail of this scheme before the deadline to avoid any inconvenience post-disconnection of GMC’s water supply services.
