GUWAHATI: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati, Assam, has announced a set of restrictions on vehicular movement for the upcoming 3rd T20 International Cricket Match scheduled to be held at ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati on November 28, 2023.
The following restrictions will be in place to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic and provide unimpeded passage for emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire tenders November 28, 2023:
1. Commercial goods carrying vehicles with four wheels and above are prohibited on NH-27 and NH-17 within Guwahati City from 12 Noon to 12 Midnight.
2. Commercial goods carrying vehicles with three wheels and above are restricted on AK Azad road and AK Dev road from 12 Noon to 12 Midnight.
3. A.K. Azad Road (Lokhra road) will be one-way from 3 PM, allowing vehicles to ply from Cycle Factory side towards Lokhra Chariali. Entry from Lokhra Chariali will be restricted, except for car pass holders, school buses, and emergency vehicles.
4. Barsapara Road from Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali will be one way for vehicles with car passes. Vehicles without car passes will not be allowed to enter from Barsapara Tiniali, except for local residents. No entry will be permitted from Dhirenpara Tiniali towards Barsapara Stadium.
Additionally, specific entry gates have been designated for different categories with gate no-1B reserved for invitees with car passes, entering via A.K. Azad Road to Barsapara Tiniali to Barsapara Stadium. Parking arrangements for vehicles coming via AK Deb Road and AK Azad Road have also been outlined to streamline traffic and ensure organised parking at multiple locations.
