GUWAHATI: A road accident in the Uparhali area claimed the life of a man on Friday, January 10. He was identified as Uttam Kakoti. The incident occurred at around 11:00 AM as Kakoti, travelling from Mirza towards Chaygaon on his scooty, was struck by a truck, leading to his death on the spot.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Bijoynagar police station confirmed the incident, saying, “A man was killed in an accident in Uparhali area. He was traveling from Mirza area. He was struck by a truck. The truck driver is taken under custody. Further investigation is underway.”
