Three Children Rescued From Child Labour In Guwahati 

 

Authorities have informed that the children will be presented before the CWC on Monday, and further steps will be taken for their rehabilitation

GUWAHATI: Three children, aged between 12 and 13, were rescued from child labour in Santipur and Jalukbari areas on Friday, January 10. The operations were carried out by the District Task Force for Child Labour under the jurisdiction of Bharalumukh and Jalukbari police stations.

Talking to GPlus, Assam Centre for Rural Development said, "The children were found working in poor conditions that kept them away from school and a safe environment. They have been moved to a shelter home under the care of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kamrup Metro." 

Authorities have informed that the children will be presented before the CWC on Monday, and further steps will be taken for their rehabilitation, including ensuring they receive proper education and care.
