GUWAHATI: The ward-wise lockdown in 11 wards of Guwahati started from 9 PM on June 23.
Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) revised the previous order of ward-specific lockdown. The lockdown period would now be for 14 days.
City cops along with the district administration have made elaborate arrangements to ensure complete lockdown in the respective areas.

Police personnel were seen refraining commuters from passing through the lockdown demarcated wards. Shops and other establishments were seen totally shut.
