GUWAHATI: The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) and Raijor Dol declared their intention to merge, as announced by Lurinjyoti Gogoi and Akhil Gogoi, respectively. The unification process is slated to commence shortly after the conclusion of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

According to media reports, Lurinjyoti Gogoi and Akhil Gogoi made the joint announcement regarding the merger of AJP and Raijor Dol. Akhil Gogoi, the leader of Raijr Dol, confirmed the merger, stating that both parties will amalgamate to form a single new regional party if Lurinjyoti Gogoi wins in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
