GUWAHATI: An individual was apprehended by the Directorate of Vigilance And Anti-Corruption (DVAC), Assam on bribery charges in Udalguri, on April 19.

The person identified as Mantu Kalita, GRS was apprehended after he allegedly accepted a bribe in the office of the Block Development Officer, in Kalaigaon, Udalguri for the allotment of PMAY house. Kalita was trapped in the process and taken into custody.

DVAC took to X to put out, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Mantu Kalita, GRS, after he accepted demanded bribe from the complainant in the O/O Block Development Officer, Kalaigaon, Dist- Udalguri, for allotment of PMAY house.”
