GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, a minor girl committed suicide in Gopal Nagar area near Noonmati in Guwahati.
According to reports, the deceased allegedly committed suicide after she was blackmailed by her classmates to circulate her video on social media.
Reportedly the school authority did not give any importance to the matter.
Meanwhile based on the suicide note recovered, the Noonmati police arrested three of her friends and was later produced before the Juvenile Court. However, the prime accused is yet to be apprehended.
Speaking to G Plus, an official of the Noonmati Police stated that as the case is registered to minors further details pertaining to the case has not being revealed.
A case (No 657/2019) under sections 120 (B), 306 and 506 has been registered against the accused with the Noonmati police.
