Three Apprehended In Paltan Bazar Raid For Alleged Possession Of Heroin

 

GUWAHATI: Three individuals were apprehended in possession of suspected heroin by the Special Task Force, (STF), Assam, at Paltan Bazar along with other illicit items in their possession on December 20.

The Special Task Force (STF) conducted a raid at KC Sen Road, Paltan Bazar, leading to the seizure of suspected heroin and the apprehension of three alleged drug peddlers, including a woman. 

According to official information, the raid resulted in the seizure of 13 vials containing suspected heroin weighing 16.5 gram, one two-wheeler, one mobile phone, and cash amounting to ₹60,000.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Mahesh Naidu from Maligaon, Asod Ali from Mangaldoi, and Fatima Khatoon from Mangaldoi who was also accompanied by a 9-month-old baby, as per official information. 

The apprehended individuals are currently undergoing legal formalities as further details are awaited.
