GUWAHATI: The medical condition of Ram Prasad Sarmah, Member of Parliament, Tezpur has further deteriorated. When news last came in Sharma was placed into ventilator at Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata.
Sarmah on Monday, 30 July, had a kidney transplant done and was recovering from the surgery.
Ram Prasad Sarmah is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Tezpur Lok Sabha Constituency and President of Assam Gorkha Sammelan. Sarmah is a resident of Lachitnagar area in Guwahati.
