Sweta Agarwal Murder Case – Boyfriend confesses to Murder

With a major breakthrough in the Sweta Agarwal murder case, the accused, Govind Singhal has confessed to killing of the 20 y/o Sweta Agarwal.

Govind, who was also dating Sweta at the time, reportedly confessed to saying that the duo got into a physical altercation on Monday (the day of the murder). The alteration led to Govind pushing the victim against the wall where she hit her head and bled to death.

G Plus earlier broke the news about blood stains recovered on the victim’s body which was revealed by top sources.

Investigation also revealed that after her death, Govind tried to pack her body in a gunny bag (sack) and tried to dispose it off by carrying it on his motorbike. However, he failed to do so and brought the body back to his house. That is when he burnt the body at the residence and Govind’s mother and sister were also witness to the crime.

It is likely that Govind’s statement will be recorded in front of the CJM later today. Interrogation is currently underway. More details to follow

Case history: Sweta Agarwal (20 y/o) a student of KC Das Commerce College was found dead on Monday under mysterious circumstances at a residence at Santipur (House No- 119 at Sluice Gate, Bharalumukh).

The residence belonged to her friend and alleged boyfriend, Govind Singhal. Sweta was pursuing her graduation in B.Com (3rd year) at K.C. Das Commerce College, Guwahati. She is the daughter of Om Prakash Agarwal, a resident of Manipuri Basti in Guwahati.
