GUWAHATI: In a recent development following the ongoing battle against drug trafficking, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Assam made a substantial seizure of suspected morphine at the Guwahati Railway Station on April 2.

The seizure, totaling 8.25 kilograms, was made from three individuals by officials from the Guwahati Government Railway Police Station (GRPS). The suspects, whose identities have not been disclosed yet, were apprehended by authorities at the bustling railway station in Guwahati.

The seized substance is believed to be morphine, a potent opioid commonly associated with illegal drug trade and abuse. Following the seizure, GRP Assam initiated necessary legal action against the apprehended individuals.
