Guwahati Police Rescue Minor Boy From Kamakhya Railway Station

 

GUWAHATI: A 13-year-old boy who was reported missing from the Pathar Quarry area in Guwahati was recently rescued by Guwahati police. The development was shared by the authorities' official account on X on Saturday, May 3.

“The boy has been kept at Government Shelter Home at Fatasil Ambari,” the post further stated.

This is the third reported recovery of a missing child in Guwahati in recent days, underlining the ongoing efforts of local authorities to ensure child safety and protection.

In an earlier case, Dispur Police, with assistance from Bihar Police, successfully located a missing girl from Kachari Basti, Guwahati. The girl was rescued from Mahdi Nagar in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on Monday, 29 April. Following critical leads, a joint operation led to her safe recovery.

Additionally, another operation on Sunday, April 27, resulted in the rescue of a 13-year-old girl who had gone missing from her guardian’s residence in Bapuji Nagar, Guwahati. The search, launched promptly after the complaint was lodged, led to her recovery within six hours.

Police have reiterated the importance of timely reporting in missing persons cases, as citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and alert law enforcement immediately if any child is suspected to be missing.
