Students from Alcheringa, IIT Guwahati Launch Social Campaign

GUWAHATI: Alcheringa, IIT Guwahati is a non profit organization of students of IIT Guwahati which conducts the largest socio-cultural festival of north-east India every year. Alcheringa also conducts various social campaigns every year to give back to the society it thrives upon, like Udaan for the underprivileged children and North east unveiled for showcasing the culture of north east to the rest of India.

Alcheringa, this year launched its newest campaign,  Man-Shakti: an initiative to promote mental health.

When it comes to Mental Health, especially in such a Global Pandemic situation, our Health Care Workers are the ones fighting for us on front end. We, sitting in the comfortable corners of our houses have no idea about the stress, anxiety they might be facing amidst the pandemic.

Due to these uncertain circumstances, Health Care Professionals are spending most of their time away from their families serving the nation. Alcheringa, through its initiative, Man-Shakti takes a step forward in providing ease to their mental health. They have launched a web portal, where people, who want to show gratitude to our Health Care Professionals can drop their messages. For delivering these messages to our warriors, Alcheringa has tied-up with Mitochondrial, an upcoming product firm by a group of students from IIT Guwahati who are currently vying to bring intubation boxes to help our doctors fight the novel coronavirus, Alcheringa will put these messages in the intubation boxes and ensure they reach the desired destination.
“In these difficult times, we certainly cannot rush to them and show how grateful we are for having them in our lives, But we all can contribute to Man-Shakti, by dropping our heartfelt messages for them, and Alcheringa along with Mitochondrial promises to deliver these messages to them and bring smiles on their faces, the ones who are fighting for us since this pandemic started, and even before that”, said Prakhar Goyal, Head of Campaigns at Alcheringa’21.
