GUWAHATI: 149 passengers had a narrow escape in the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) in Guwahati on 4th December, when a SpiceJet flight overshot the runway by several metres after landing.

The SpiceJet flight SG-960 which landed in Guwahati from Bengaluru at 8:30 am skid off the runway.

No passenger was hurt in the incident. However minor damages were caused to the runway lights and on the boundary wall, as reported by the Airport Authority.
The pilot has been grounded by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and an investigation has been launched.
