GUWAHATI: The Guwahati High Court has directed Assam police to create two Facebook accounts and provide two whatsapp numbers to citizens for posting photos or videos on traffic violations in the city.
As per the court, the police has to take action within three days of receiving the visual proof.
The court has also directed the police to widely publish the WhatsApp numbers through advertising boards to notify the people.

Responding to a Public Interest Litigation, the court directed the police to conduct a study of the traffic situation in areas like Uzanbazar, Panbazar, Fancybazar and Machkhowa.
