Assam Phase 1 Elections Witness Voter Turnout Of 75.95%, Highest In Jorhat

 

GUWAHATI: In the recently concluded first phase of the elections in Assam, a significant voter turnout of 75.95% was recorded, according to data released by the Election Commission of India. The turnout reflects the active participation of voters in the democratic process.

Detailed breakdowns indicate varying participation levels across constituencies within the state. Jorhat constituency emerged with the highest voter turnout at an impressive 79.48%.

In Kaziranga constituency, the voter turnout stood at 75.79%, followed closely by Sonitpur with 74.81%. Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh constituencies recorded turnout percentages of 72.65% and 76.74% respectively.
