GUWAHATI: Assam cabinet on Thursday, August 27 approved Assam Skill Development University Bill which provides for setting up Skill University at Mangaldoi with an investment of Rs 900 crore.
The university, which will be a centre of excellence, will be set up on a 100-bigha plot with financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank.

"Happy to share that today cabinet has approved draft bill to establish a Skill University in Assam. Such move will provide immense opportunities to youths of state for skill development," said Chandra Mohan Patowary, state cabinet minister of transport, industry and commerce.
Assam Government has tied up ITE Education Service, Singapore for setting up of the Skill University.
