Kaziranga National Park Witnesses Highest-Ever Tourist Footfall Of 4.06 Lakh In 2024-25

 

GUWAHATI: Kaziranga National Park has recorded its highest-ever tourist footfall in the financial year 2024-25, with 4.06 lakh visitors, including 17,693 foreign tourists.

The park has generated approximately ₹10.90 crore in revenue from tourism during this period. 

Kaziranga National Park, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites is known for its biodiversity and population of one-horned rhinoceroses, The increase in visitors highlights the park’s growing appeal as a destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

Assam Forest Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary took to his X, saying about the achievement, saying, “Kaziranga has emerged as a top-choice destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity and iconic inhabitants like the one-horned rhinoceros,” “ world heritage site has experienced record breaking 4.06 Lakhs tourist footfall in FY 2024-25 including 17,693 foreign tourists and from that a revenue of around ₹10.90 crore has been generated.” he further added.
