Singer Zubeen Garg asks Assam Chief Minister to return 'his' votes

GUWAHATI: Singer Zubeen Garg asked Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal to return the votes the CM received by using the song sung by Garg for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the last Assembly elections.

He posted a message on a social media channel that read:

“Wrote a letter to you few days back. Guess you are too busy counting the black flags to respond.

So, can I get the votes back that you earned using my voice in 2016?

I am ready to refund the remuneration.’

Earlier on January 8, the singer had aggressively criticised the Chief Minister over the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 by addressing an open letter to him on Facebook.
