According to sources, the children lost their father in Darrang, and their home was later demolished during an eviction drive. Their mother had reportedly abandoned them before these circumstances. They set out on a journey, crossing the Brahmaputra River by ferry boat in an attempt to find relatives they believed might be in Morigaon.

The children were taken into custody by local police and handed over to Child Helpline Morigaon. Following directives from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Morigaon, they were provided with immediate shelter and care.

Authorities are now working to locate their family and secure their long-term safety and well-being. Investigations are underway.
