GUWAHATI: Sanjib Warie of the Indian National Congress (INC) officially filed his nomination on Wednesday, October 23, for the upcoming Sidli bye-election.

Scheduled for November 13, the bye-election was necessitated by a vacancy in the Sidli Legislative Assembly Constituency.
The Election Commission issued the notification for the election on October 18, and the last date for filing nominations is October 25. Following that, the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on October 28, with the deadline for withdrawal of candidature set for October 30.
The results will be declared on November 23, following the counting of votes.
The Sidli bye-election is expected to be a closely watched contest, with candidates vying to secure a crucial seat in the Assam Legislative Assembly.
