GUWAHATI: Four candidates submitted their nominations for the upcoming bye-elections in Assam on Wednesday, October 23.

The elections will cover five assembly constituencies: 11 Dholai, 31 Sidli, 32 Bongaigaon, and 77 Behali, where the candidates have already filed their paperwork. However, no nominations have been submitted yet for the 88th Samaguri constituency.
As of now, a total of five candidates in total have filed their nominations.
The bye-elections are critical to filling these vacant seats, and the Election Commission has set October 25, 2024, as the deadline for the submission of nominations.
This is part of the ongoing election process overseen by the Chief Election Officer of Assam.
