GUWAHATI: Comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina was questioned by Guwahati Police on Saturday, April 5, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the online show 'India’s Got Latent'. A senior police official confirmed to GPlus that Raina was not arrested, but was summoned for questioning as part of the procedural investigation.

This development follows earlier appearances by fellow YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, both of whom were also questioned by city police after being served summons in the same case.
The FIR was registered by the Guwahati Crime Branch on February 10, involving multiple sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, as well as the IT Act, the Cinematograph Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
Summons were also sent to other individuals associated with the show, including Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija.
According to officials, the investigation pertains to allegedly objectionable content in one of the episodes of 'India’s Got Latent'. The authorities are currently recording statements from all individuals involved before proceeding further.
