Sahari foundation is organising GoRun Guwahati City Marathon to support the differently-abled children on 17th January, 2018. Go Run is a quarterly fundraising charity event wherein participants can choose to walk or run for a cause close to their heart.
The walk will flag off from Ganesh Mandir at 6AM and end at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio with hydration posts set up at every 4KM and an arrangement for post run refreshments.
The event will be organised in two different categories - competitive and non-competitive. In the competitive event, the participants have to take part in 10KM city marathon, the registration fees for which is Rs 200. Whereas, for non competitive event, the participants will take part in a 3KM cause run which does not require any registration fees. Participants can donate for the differently-abled children as per their wish.
The runner who completes on the first place will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000 along with a medal, winner t-shirt and gift hampers, while the runners to finish at the second and third spot will be awarded medal, winner t-shirt and gift hampers each. Apart from that, they will be eligible for free entry to 'Power to Fitness' to be held in February. All participants will be given certificates and all finishers will be awarded with medals.
