Renowned city-based businessman, Rajesh Himatsingka has allegedly tried to commit suicide at his current residence in Amsoi Tea Garden, on Wednesday night.
According to his wife, Himatsingka tried to commit suicide by consuming an overdose of sleeping tablets.
The businessman was immediately transfered to the Apollo Hospital in Guwahati and is currently under ICU observation.
According to reports the businessman tried to attempt suicide because of domestic issues.
