GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Water Supply Project, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), has opened registrations for residents in 5 new areas on January 8, 2024, to ensure clean and hygienic drinking water.
The new areas of the city where registration has been made available are Kharghuli Hill, Hirimbapur, Silpukhuri, Latashil / Barowari, and Fancy Bazaar / Panbazaar.
Citizens residing in these specified localities have been urged to apply for the hassle-free delivery of potable water directly to their homes. To register for the water connection, interested citizens can visit the website www.gmdwsb.in or download the GJB mobile app available on Google Play Store.
Guwahati Jal Board took to X to put out the following statement, which read, “Citizens of the mentioned areas are requested to apply for a hassle-free delivery of clean and hygienic drinking water directly to your homes under the JICA assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project.”
