Suspected Break-In At DIPR Office In Guwahati 

 

GUWAHATI: A suspected break-in was reported at the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) office in Guwahati after officials found files and papers scattered across the floor and tables early Saturday morning. The incident took place in the old building of the DIPR, raising concerns over security at the government office.

Talking to GPlus, a source in the DIPR office said that signs of forced entry were noticed, with drawers left open and doors appearing to have been broken. “We found some documents scattered on the floor, and a few drawers were left open. It looks like someone entered the building, but as of now, we don’t believe anything has been stolen,” the source told GPlus. 

Talking to GPlus, an official from Dispur Police Station confirmed that no important files or valuables were reported missing. “We inspected the scene, and as per our findings, no documents or items have been stolen,” the official said. 

Further investigation is under way.
