GUWAHATI: General manager of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s Guwahati branch, allegedly committed suicide at a hotel in Odisha’s Jajpur. The deceased has been identified as Asish Ranjan Samal.
He is a resident of Naraharipur village in Jajpur district of Odisha. He went to his village on Thursday to meet his mother and later went to Bhubaneswar to meet his wife and son.
Samal later checked into a hotel and hanged himself. The matter came to light when he didn't respond to knocks of the hotel staff.
Currently, the police are investigating the matter and more details are awaited.
