Rangiya And Mariani Railway Stations Awarded 'Eat Right Station' Certification

GUWAHATI: The Rangiya and Mariani Railway Stations of the Northeast Frontier Railway in Assam have been honored with the prestigious 'Eat Right Station' certification by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The 'Eat Right Station' certification, bestowed by the FSSAI, is a certification for railway stations that adhere to rigorous food storage and hygiene standards.

It is awarded to stations that set benchmarks in offering safe and wholesome food to travelers.

The certification is the result of an assessment conducted by an FSSAI-empaneled third-party audit agency.

Both Rangiya and Mariani Railway Stations have met the stringent guidelines established by FSSAI. The 'Eat Right Station' certification has been granted for a specified period, with Rangiya Railway Station receiving it for the period from September 25, 2023, to September 24, 2025, and Mariani Railway Station from October 19, 2023, to October 18, 2025.

This recognition is part of the larger 'Eat Right India' movement initiated by FSSAI, aiming to transform the nation's food system to ensure safe, healthy, and sustainable food for all its citizens. Previously, Guwahati, Harishchandrapur, and Lumding Railway Stations of the N. F. Railway have also received the 'Eat Right Station' certification from FSSAI.
