GUWAHATI: The Bhartiya Janta Party’s (BJP) rally in Guwahati and Karimganj was affected by the rain and hailstorm on Tuesday after a sudden spell of rain hit the city.
There were only a few spectators at BJP rallies in two places due to rain and the chairs remained mostly empty. Queen Ojha was to hold the rally in Guwahati while Kripanath Mallah was to preside over the rally in Karimganj.
Strong winds damaged the pandal of Queen Ojha in Borjhar area. It was attended by AGP and BJP leaders including Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Kamala Kalita Atul Bora among others.
