GUWAHATI: The Karbi Anglong Police, led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bakalia Police Station and his team, conducted two consecutive operations resulting in significant detections.
During the first operation, the police apprehended three individuals and seized a total of 54 SAMPEX+ capsules suspected to be psychotropic substances from their possession. The targeted action led to the stoppage of these potentially harmful substances from circulation.
Taking to X, Karbi Anglong Police stated, “Two back to back detection by OC Bakalia PS and his team 1. Three persons were apprehended and recovered total 54 nos. of SAMPEX+ capsules suspected to be Psychotropic substances from their possession.”
In the second operation, the police intercepted a pick-up truck and recovered a substantial quantity of 1800 kilograms of dry areca nut. The effective execution of this operation led to the arrest of one individual involved in the transportation of the contraband.
Karbi Anglong Police further stated, “1800 KGs of dry Areca nut were recovered from a TATA Yodha. Arrested 1.”
