GUWAHATI: As the protests continue on to the third day in Assam, protestors came out in large numbers and took to the streets of Guwahati to raise their voice against the passing of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha and then, the Rajya Sabha.
Protestors amassed in thousands at the Latasil playground and chanted slogans against the BJP. The protestors were supported by the Artists’ Fraternity of Assam. Tear gas and air firing was the Modus Operandi for crowd control.
Protests continued late into the night on 11th December and resumed early on the morning of 12 December.
