GUWAHATI: Actor and brand ambassador for Assam Tourism Priyanka Chopra has urged people to donate towards the devastation caused by ongoing floods in Assam.
She Tweeted on Wednesday: “Extremely devastated by all the news coming in from #Assam and other parts of India. It’s heartbreaking to read about the displacement and loss of life. My prayers with those affected.”

The actor also shared a few links to help her fans donate.
On the other hand, Indian sprint star Hima Das donated half of her month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s relief fund on July 16.

Hima who works as an HR officer in Indian Oil Corporation, Guwahati transferred the amount on July 16 to the CM’s relief fund.
The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) mentioned that 1,01,085 people have been hit by the floods till now.
