GUWAHATI: A pregnant stray dog was allegedly brutally killed by a worker of a meat shop in Rupai Siding, Doomdooma, sparking outrage among local residents.

The dog was reportedly searching for discarded meat when the incident occurred on Monday, December 2.
Talking to GPlus, Abhay Bora, animal activist said, "On December 2, the day when the incident happened residents accused the police of failing to act after arriving at the scene. They claimed the police neither recovered the dog’s body nor initiated action against the accused worker, identified as Sahil Ali."
However, police finally arrested the accused on Tuesday, December 3.
