GUWAHATI: Crime Branch apprehended five persons from Birubari area in Guwahati for possessing drugs on 11 December.
Acting on a tip-off from their sources, the police conducted a raid in various places in and around Birubari.
Veteran drug peddler Ikbal Ali along with four others are been arrested by Paltan Bazar police.

“The raids are still ongoing. From one of our raids in the area, we have seized heroin and all kinds of narcotics and psychotropic substances,” Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) (Crime), Rosie Kalita informed G Plus.
