Nomination Process Begins For Guwahati Parliamentary Constituency Election

 

GUWAHATI: The nomination process for the No. 5 Guwahati parliamentary constituency election has commenced to elect its representative to the Lok Sabha.

According to the election notice, nominations for candidates will be accepted between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., except on public holidays, until April 19. Nomination papers can be filed either with the Election Officer or with Dr. Jiwan Krishna Goswami, the Additional District Commissioner and Assistant Election Officer of Kamrup Metropolitan District, at the District Commissioner's Office in Hengrabari, Guwahati.

Candidates can collect nomination papers within the specified time and location. The nomination papers will be examined on April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the District Commissioner's Office in Hengrabari, Guwahati.

Withdrawal of nomination papers can be done until 3:00 p.m. on April 22, by submitting a notice to any of the officers mentioned in the election notice. Polling will take place on May 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
