Talking to GPlus, a member of Kamakhya Devalaya stated, "Despite assurances from Assam minister Jayanta Mallabaruah regarding the installation of new water machines, no action has been taken. We are extremely frustrated with the ongoing water disruption. After several days, we receive water for only half an hour. This not only hampers our drinking water needs but also complicates daily chores. It's frustrating that while the government focuses on Kamakhya temple development, residents face such dire water scarcity."

Another resident of Notunpara in Kamakhya talking to GPlus said, "For generations, we have alerted authorities about water scarcity, yet it remains unaddressed. Water is vital for life, and its absence brings immense suffering."

Residents' struggles extend beyond basic hygiene.
"We can't even shower in this heat or wash clothes, adding to our discomfort," lamented a resident of Notunpara.

Another resident highlighted the impact on tourism, stating, "With famous places like Kamakhya facing water shortages, visitors will question our hospitality."

However, talking to GPlus,  Sudhanya Malakar, the ward councillor of Kamakhya said, "The water crisis is due to a burst main water pipe and a malfunctioning motor, making the water disruption worse."
