GUWAHATI: City police arrested a man, Supriyo Mukherjee, who was posing as a CBI Officer in Paltan Bazar area of the city on Saturday, September 1.
Based on reports, Mukherjee is a resident of Kolkata and was caught at Arya Hospital while he was trying to collect some documents.

It has been reported that the accused was introducing himself as an SP officer of the CBI branch.
However, he was caught when hospital staff asked him to show his identity card. Police officials have also seized fake identity cards that include professions such as CBI officer, anti-corruption officer and doctor.
Further investigation for the case in ongoing.
