GUWAHATI: In an operation conducted during a Naka checking, the Officer-in-Charge (O/C) of Ramnathpur Police Station, along with the police staff, intercepted and seized an auto-rickshaw with illegal consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on November 8.
Upon thorough inspection of the vehicle, authorities discovered 16 cartons of IMFL, with a total volume of 142.3 liters. It was established that these cartons were being transported unlawfully towards Mizoram.
Hailakandi Police took to X to put out, “During Naka checking by the O/C, Ramnathpur PS, and staff, one auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. AS24C 3525 was intercepted. On search of the vehicle, 16 cartons of IMFL - total 142.3 litres - which were being illegally transported towards Mizoram were recovered and seized.”
