GUWAHATI: The opening of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary has been delayed until further notice.
Earlier, the sanctuary was set to open on October 22.
This is the peak season to visit the wildlife sanctuary, however, the authorities have not yet disclosed any reason for postponing the opening.
Earlier this year, Pobitora was devastated by the floods that ravaged the state and many of its areas were submerged underwater.
Kaziranga National Park was the worst affected with most of its areas submerged underwater. Over 150 animals also lost their lives during the floods.
