GUWAHATI: A construction worker was electrocuted while working on a residential project in Biswanath Chariali, on December 14.
According to reports, a group of laborers had been involved in construction activities for a period when an unfortunate incident occurred. One of the workers, identified as Devjit Kasher from Pabhoi, came into contact with a high-voltage live wire, resulting in the fatal electrocution.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Biswanath Chariali Police Station said, “We received information about the case yesterday that a worker has been electrocuted. The worker died on the spot immediately.”
The Biswanath District Magistrate promptly examined the body and arranged for its transfer to Bihali for a postmortem examination.
