GUWAHATI: The old Saraighat Bridge, which has been closed down for public for the last three months will be reopened on June 20.
The bridge was closed down for renovation.

According to a press statement released by NF Railway, around 500 workers have been engaged to carry out the task of replacing all the 54 slabs on the entire upper deck. The replacement of 11 expansion joints over the pillars is currently in progress.
It should be mentioned that Assam CM Sonowal also instructed the workers to complete the renovation work of the bridge in the aforesaid time.
