NSCN (K-YA) Insurgents Held, ₹5.6 Lakhs Seized

 

GUWAHATI: In a recent operation, the Assam Rifles prevented the infiltration of insurgents seeking to procure war-like stores. The security forces apprehended one active insurgent belonging to NSCN (K-YA) and two overground workers at the Indo-Myanmar Border in Jairampur circle, Arunachal Pradesh.

The operation, executed by the Assam Rifles, resulted in the seizure of ₹5,60,000 in black money, along with other stores associated with insurgent activities. The intercepted individuals were reportedly in the process of acquiring war-like materials for their activities.

The Assam Rifles, through its official X handle, shared details of the operation. They put out a statement, which read, “#AssamRifles prevented infilt of Insurgents for procurement of War like stores by apprehending one active insurgent of NSCN (K-YA) and two Overground Workers along with ₹5,60,000/- black money and other stores at Indo Myanmar Border in Jairampur circle, Arunachal Pradesh.”
