GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu has urged citizens of the district whose photos have not appeared against their names in the voter list to submit their photos as soon as possible.

The photos will be compulsory for casting votes during the 2021 Assam elections and those who don't have their photos against their names, they might be removed from the voter list.
As per reports, over 11,000 voters are without photos in the constituencies of 51 Jalukbari, 52 Dispur, 53 East Gauhati, and 54 West Gauhati. As per Pratidin Time, only 1,000 have submitted the photos.
The Kamrup (M) DC and District Election Officer has urged the people whose names are not included as of now, those seeking transfer from one polling station to another, and also those seeking corrections in names and other details to apply through the forms specified on the NSVP website on or before December 15.
