Northeast Likely To Get Heavy Rainfall For Next 4 Days

GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall forecast for Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. 

As per the forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department, the northeastern states are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall for the next five days from September 11 to September 14.

The forecast states that in Assam, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places from Sep 11 to Sep 14. While in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places from September 11 onwards.

"Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over southwest and West Central the Arabian Sea." said the India Weather Warning Bulletin.

According to All India Weather Inference, a cyclonic circulation lies over Northeast Assam and adjoining Arunachal Pradesh and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
